In August 7th to 11th, there was Health Professional Summit at NSD Leadership Training Center. Administrators and educators from health-related organisations in Northern Asia-Pacific Division and Southern Asia-Pacific Division together held this important conference which is held every five years. Attendants had education with updated information on the Adventist Church's typical health message so called NEWSTART Lifestyle, and built friendship one another. With 102 participants from 10 countries, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, the event had a theme of "In Christ Alone: Discovering Wholeness in Brokenness" and featured speakers Dr. Zono Charles, associate director of the General Conference's Health Ministry Department; Dr. Edward Nathan, AIIAS professor of public health; Dr. Chulwoo Kim of Daniel Village; and Dr. Seonhwa Seo of Yeosu NEWSTART Hospital, who spoke about the excellency and effectiveness of the NEWSTART lifestyle. The participants, most of whom came from Southeast Asia, visited several tourist attractions in Jeju at the end of the day, immersing themselves in the beauty of Jeju island's nature and the charm of K-culture.
